Belle Vue Zoo Guide
In 1928 an enclosure for mountain goats was built next to the Paddock. It was known as the Rocky Mountain Enclosure. ![]() The image left is from Chethams Library. ![]() Several varieties of deer, including Pere David Deer, were found in Belle Vue from the earliest times. They were housed in and around the Paddock ![]() Camels shared a glass-roofed house with the giraffe. They also had an out-door enclosure and obviously got out occasionally to meet the visitors. ![]() ![]()
